CHINESE TEA

The history of Chinese tea dates back to ancient times, with legends tracing its origins to the mythical Shennong. Tea became a popular beverage during the Tang dynasty, and the Song dynasty saw the development of tea culture and the rise of tea merchants. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, tea became an important commodity for trade export, leading to the establishment of tea houses and tea ceremonies. Today, Chinese tea remains an integral part of Chinese culture and is by people around the world.

INDIAN TEA

Tea was introduced to India by the British in the early 19th century. The tea plantation was established in Assam in 1837, and by the end of the century, India had become the world's largest tea producer. Today, tea is an integral part of Indian culture and is enjoyed millions of people across the country.

JAPANESE TEA

Tea was introduced to Japan in the 9th century by Buddhist monks returning from China. It was initially used for medicinal purposes, but later became a popular beverage among the aristocracy. The Japanese tea ceremony, or chanoyu developed in the 16th century and is still practiced today as a way to appreciate the beauty of tea and its preparation.

EUROPEAN TEA

Tea was first introduced to Europe in the 16th century by Portuguese Dutch traders. It quickly became popular among the wealthy and, by the 18th century, tea had become a staple in many European households. Today, tea remains a beloved beverage across the continent, with a wide variety of flavors and preparations available

AFRICAN TEA

Tea was introduced to Africa in the late 19th century by Europeanizers. Initially, it was grown in small quantities for local consumption, but it soon became a major export crop. Today, tea is grown in several African countries, including Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, and is an important source of income for many farmers.
