WARNING: This is NOT Pink Himalayan Salt

Although this salt looks pink in its ground form, when it comes out of the kiln it is a dark brown/black color. This salt is known for its egg-like smell due to it containing sulfur. It's primary use is in Southern Asia as a condiment or in raitas, chutneys, and savory snacks. In North America this salt has made a resurgence in popularity within the vegan cooking scene (specifically for egg alternative recipes) as well as being used as a digestive aid in the Yajurveda realm.
