WARNING: This is NOT Pink Himalayan Salt
As you can read from the above this salt has caused alot of confusion. Although the salt looks pink in it's ground form, when it comes out of the kiln it is a dark brown/back color. This salt is known for its egg-like smell due to it containing sulfur. It's primary use is in Southern Asia as a condiment or in raitas, chutneys and savory snacks. In North America this salt has made a ressurgance in popularity within the vegan cooking scene (specifically for egg alternative recipes) as well as being used as a digestive aid in the Ayurverdic realm.
