Used widely across the Middle East this spice is commonly mixed with olive oil to season bread, meats, and vegetables. It's common to find Za’atar on restaurant tabletops instead of salt and pepper throughout many parts of Arabia.

It’s a nutty and citrusy spice due to the Sumac and Sesame with many herbal notes as well making it great to add onto breads. Our favorite was in Turkey where they make a Turkish style pizza called “Pide” which is often smothered in Za’atar, also try adding it into regular Hummus to change it up!
