Unlike Red Za'atar, Green Za'atar is herb forward and contains far less sumac creating a fresh nutty and herbal flavour with a hint of citrus. 

 

Much like curry blends from India, there is no "traditional" recipe for Za'atar, every region has their own style and within that region each family has their own unique recipe's that are passed down through the generations.

 

Green Za'atar is perfect for hummus, labneh, pasta sauces, salads, chicken rubs , roasted veggies, and mixed with olive oil to dip or spread over flatbreads.
